Our lifestyles have become faster and trying to pack in as much as we can into a day with less and less leisure time seems to be the norm. At one time I used to suffer very badly from migraine and so one of the things that I now enjoy is a regular massage and sometimes acupuncture on a Friday afternoon to remove the stresses of the job and bring the working week to a close.

After having suffered from hayfever for 10 years, and after having tried every combination of perscribed medicine for it, I was looking for another solution. My hayfever had been getting progressively worse each year, and last year lead me to being unable to work for the month of June. I discovered MyHeadSpace via an internet search on Hayfever and Accupuncture, and decided to give John a try- despite being terrified of needles! I experienced an improvement after the 2nd session, and although still suffer an occassional sneeze or itchy eyes, i am now sneezing no more then everyone else in the office (who all deny they have hayfever!).
Most importantly I feel like I can control the symptoms I do have- hayfever left me feeling very tired and unhappy in the summer and I feel much more myself and able to ignore the occasional itch.

I have a chronic pain condition called Fibromyalgia. This is a condition that affects your entire body leaving you in pain all the time. Unfortunately, very few people understand the pain and even fewer people know how to treat it.
However John is completely understanding and has treated other Fibro patients.
My pain is significantly down since I started seeing John and he manages to control the pain where-ever it has decided to move to. Whether its in my neck, back, legs or even headaches that wont go away- John is always able to make the pain either go away completely or make it bearable.
To those out there with chronic conditions that are wary of starting with someone new, give John a try, cause he really, really helps me.

I am nearly 51 years old and have suffered badly from Hayfever since I was aged 9 years, where I first contracted it working on a farm. In my teen years it subsided slightly. 4 years ago I had cancer, (Chemotherapy / Radiotherapy treatments, medications, etc.) My immune system had been lowered and Hayfever came back with avengence. Prescription medication for me has only worked up to a point but made no difference in suppressing the symptoms. It has become disabiling affecting, work, social life and so on. In short I know more about hayfever than any G.P.s and have used numerous methods and devices with varying success. All this doesn't get to the heart of the problem. I am also strongly adverse to needles partly as a result of the cancer treatments. Last year my hayfever was the worst it has been and this year I was desperate to try almost anything to seek relief.
Thats when I tried Acupuncture. Because I don't like even seeing needles treatment was done with me laying face down. They are so fine you don't feel them and forget that they are there. I was doubtful to start with as nothing else for 42 years ever worked so effectively. My symptoms now are less than those who sneeze in the summertime but deny they have hayfever. Miracle cure? Maybe. It realy worked for me and I am so grateful that I highly recommend it to those who find conventional medicine is not providing the answers. Thank you all at Covent Garden. I am going to continue with the acupuncture despite not liking needles to improve my general well being because the difference it made to me this year has been dramatic. All my questions and fears were discussed and I'm glad to have taken their advice.    Michael Tuck

I would not hesitate to recommend John Philbin to anyone. The help I have received for pain of arthritis was more beneficial than any other treatment I have been offered.

I had suffered with severe back pain on and off for over a year, a friend suggested acupuncture and recommended John at Myheadspace. At first I was a bit sceptical as I really didn't know what to expect from acupuncture. The first treatment involved acupuncture and massage which gave almost instant relief, there was certainly a marked difference in pain. By the fourth session I was pain free and have been for months! John has a very professional approach and calming manner. Highly recommended

I would recommend MyHeadspace to anyone looking for a holistic approach to pain relief after the super-effective treatment I received from John Philbin for a torn muscle which was not responding to other forms of treatment.

Having suffered with migraines for many years I was astounded by the results I gained from just one treatment of acupuncture with MyHeadspace. The treatment was a completely relaxing experience and the results went far beyond my expectations. I would totally recommend the use of acupuncture as an effective treatment and also the outstanding services provided by MyHeadspace.

I have used myheadspace for both massage and acupuncture in the past. I have found John to be both knowledgeable and insightful when discussing problems and skilled in applying this knowledge to cure my back problems. Highly recommended!

John Philbin practices out of movingarstbase in Islington where I work. He treated me to an accupuncture and cupping session. As a dancer and teacher I have received many many treatments and am constantly on the look out for competent practitioners whom I can trust. John's touch was sensitive and intelligent. His affinity with the body and understanding of what was bound up in the muscle and flesh of my body allowed me to relax, release and undergo some healing. My back was markedly improved in the following days, body a little groggy, but I felt as if considerable cleansing had gone on. I strongly recommend John's services.
